Ways to Help / Corporate & Community Campaigns
Corporate Sponsorship Donating a product or service is an easy alternative to traditional giving. Organizations can support programs and/or fundraising events with corporate cash donations, in-kind donations of items or services or corporate sponsorships. Our Development team will work with your organization to determine what level of giving and recognition works for you and will create a program to suit your needs. Employee-Volunteer Sponsorship Allow your employees the benefit of volunteering during work hours. Promoting employee volunteerism will benefit your company, your employees and your community. There are many programs to fit your corporate culture - adopt a program as your community investment strategy to help people and elevate your business. Studies prove that employees that volunteer are more productive and have greater job satisfaction. Event Participation We put the 'fun' back in fundraising! With three major events each year (Red Ribbon Gala, Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life and A Taste for Life), we promise you'll have fun while helping people in your community. Our special events are great team-building opportunities - sign up your employees to participate or volunteer. Host an Event Are you planning a social event? We encourage supporters to host third party events in whatever capacity that suits them. While they vary, third party events are typically managed and directed by an outside party (with support from The AIDS Network staff and volunteers). Host a dance, a garage sale, or a golf tournament. Not interested in hosting an event? Why not make The AIDS Network the beneficiary of an existing event. Donate an Auction Item Showcase your company and help us raise money by donating an item for auction. All items are appreciated, and some qualify for a taxable receipt. Cause-Related Marketing Sometimes the easiest way to donate is to just carry on with business as usual. Cause-related marketing is a partnership between our agency and your company, which increases your sales and benefits our programs through the donation of full or partial product sales. The opportunities depend on the nature of your business. If you own a restaurant, you may choose to donate all the revenue from up-sales for one week. If you are a lawyer, you may choose to donate a percentage of your hourly charge. If you operate a golf course, you could donate $5 from each green fee.
