You’re invited to participate in The AIDS Network’s 2021 Walk Away from Stigma! From September 19th to October 3rd we are asking our friends and supporters to virtually participate in our annual AIDS Walk by registering on our Walk Page, and raising funds pledged towards a Walk activity of your choosing. You can do a run, a hike, a walk around the park, or an awareness event of some kind, how you do your Walk is up to you! Walk with us to raise awareness of the causes central to the work we do, and give your friends and family the opportunity to help sustain some of our most vital programs and services. Together we can raise awareness, and provide meaningful support to people living with, affected by and vulnerable to HIV in Hamilton, Halton, Haldimand, Norfolk and Brant.
What will your Walk look like? Last year, we had people who did runs, hikes and strolls through their local parks. Your Walk event does not need to be a physical activity, we also had backyard barbecues, and even a virtual drag show! Your activity is up to you.
Registered participants will be eligible to receive a complimentary Walk Away from Stigma tee-shirt, access to our participant kit, and will be entered into our draw for some fabulous prizes. Fundraisers who raise $200 or more will be eligible to receive a commemorative Walk Away from Stigma water bottle.
