The AIDS Network's education programs respond to the urgent need to inform and train individuals, organizations and communities throughout the community about HIV/AIDS related topics including: AIDS in the Workplace, Psycho-social issues, Living with HIV/AIDS, AIDS 101 - Basics of Transmission, Safer Sex and Testing.

Using the most current research, these programs focus on several significant populations that are at greater risk of infection/transmission. This ensures that our efforts and funding will have the greatest impact on reducing new HIV/AIDS cases in our area.
  • Speakers Bureau - Trained speakers are available at no charge to address groups in the community on topics related to HIV/AIDS.
  • Displays - Volunteers and staff are available to set up and/or accompany displays for community events.
  • PEMAP Program - In collaboration with Volunteer Services, this 13 week program provides relevant and comprehensive training to individuals interested in becoming Volunteer Educators, Mentors and Advocates.
  • Men4Men - The AIDS Network continues its commitment to programming for men who have sex with men and launched MEN4MEN. This program addresses the sexual health needs of gay, bisexual and transgendered men as well as those who choose not to identify with one of those labels. The goal is to address the rising number of HIV infections within the MEN4MEN community, which has traditionally been identified as a large "at risk" group.
  • Women's Outreach - The Women's Community Outreach Program addresses the need for women's HIV prevention and awareness program by focusing on prevention and identifying issues facing women and HIV.
