FIRST CONTACT ASSISTANT
SUMMER STUDENT POSITION
The First Contact Assistant’s role is to ensure that visitors to the agency feel welcome and are directed appropriately with respect to their needs for the Network’s services. Duties include reception, meeting and greeting clients and visitors, answering phones and giving resources and information. This position works with staff and volunteers to provide practical assistance and information to clients, service users and support to the Harm Reduction program. There are other administrative duties such as creating posters, data entry, filing, making reminder calls, scheduling appointments, researching services in the community and ensuring all the most up to date resources are available. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and develop skills related to your future career goals.
